What’s new in Champagne?

The 2010 wine harvest (continued)
The initial tastings of the “vins clairs” (wines part-way through the champagne process) have come as a pleasant surprise, as they are honest and supple; above all, they have not suffered any alteration as a result of the state of health of the harvest.
We have nevertheless decided not to make 2010 a millésime year, but to give priority to our Brut champagnes with no indication of year and to storing excellent quality wines for the future. These decisions will prevent an over-rejuvenation of the vintages and a drop in stocks as a result of the low appellation level of the last two wine harvests (9 700 kg in 2009 and 10 500 kg in 2010) and thereby perpetuate the consistency of the De Saint-Gall style.

PROWEIN 2011 – 27 to 29 March
We have been attending this trade fair in Düsseldorf for a number of years, and it provides us with an opportunity to present our wines to our customers and prospective customers on an international scale.
About 35 000 visitors and more than 3 000 exhibitors from all over the world are expected this year.
