Deliberately elitist, the “Orpale” signature is only attached
to the finest vintages. Following
the remarkable 1995 vintage,
the 1998 is yet again outstanding
– a gorgeous vintage, along the lines of 1988 and 1980.
On the nose, it displays the delicate aromas of white flowers typical
of Orpale in its youth. The palate
is fresh and lively on first taste
and evolves to express fullness, complexity and generosity. Its aerial, balanced character makes this
a cuvée with great class.
